Spend two weeks surrounded by beautiful music and outstanding artists!

Fanfare, please! CORNO and ILYO join forces in 2023, creating a great learning opportunity for young musicians! A crash individual and section course in Zielona Góra – followed by orchestra workshops in Szczecin. The participants of the workshops will explore their music potential under the auspices of celebrated tutors – both instrumentalists and conductors.

Czym jest Akademia ILYO?

ILYO stands for International Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra.  The project started in 2013 as a tribute to the remarkable composer Witold Lutoslawski, and immediately became a constant and much-awaited spot in young musicians’ calendars. The education program of ILYO allows the participants to test their skills in a difficult, highly demanding repertoire, performed together with great masters in front of the audience of the Szczecin Philharmonic. 

In the framework of this cooperation, CORNO is responsible for the preparation of the brass section and recruitment.

Those selected in the recruitment process will be able to participate in CORNO festival with a 50% discount. Apart from the regular schedule of the workshops, attendees will take additional ILYO Academy preparatory classes. Once the event comes to a close, when the participants are already tuned-in, they will be ready for another intensive week of study within the walls of the Szczecin Philharmonic.

The following week, course participants will meet within the framework of the educational project Lutosławski Youth Orchestra to gain the priceless experience of playing in an orchestra. Accompanied by a team of outstanding instrumentalists, they will prepare for a cycle of symphonic concerts.
