Arno Tri Pramudia is a trombonist from Belgium.
He did his bachelor’s degree in music performance at the LUCA School of Arts in Leuven, Belgium, where he studied with Michel Tilkin. His master’s degree he obtained at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, where he studied with Ian Bousfield.
He combined the last year of his studies in Bern with an internship as trombonist with the Bern Symphony Orchestra.
After graduation he joined the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy led by Michael Tilson Thomas in Miami Beach, Florida, USA, where he was a trombonist from 2019 until 2021.
He gained further orchestra experience from playing with several professional orchestras in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Sweden, as well as with the Royal Philharmonic in London, and from being principal trombonist with the Gustav Mahler Youth orchestra for their 2018 spring tour.
Since 2021 he is the tenor-/bass- trombonist with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Sweden.
Arno is also an experienced teacher. He has been a teaching artist for El Sistema Sweden and Iberacademy in Medellin, Colombia. He led a workshop for children from the townships in Cape Town, South Africa and during the pandemic he set up an online courses for middle school children in the Miami Metropolitan Area. He also had teaching residencies in the LUCA School of Arts in Leuven, Belgium and the Academy of Music. K. Lipinski in Wrocław, Poland.
Since 2023 he has been teaching trombone and chamber music at Högskolan för Scen och Musik, the University of Gothenburg’s college of music.
