Maciej Baranowski

Born in 1989 in Zielona Góra, he began learning to play the French horn under Ivan Moroz in Poland, and continued his studies with Prof. Christian-Friedrich Dallmann at the Academy of Arts in Berlin (Universität der Künste Berlin).

He has won numerous awards at international competitions, including those in Markneukirchen, Prague Spring in Prague, Sannicandro di Bari, Łódź, and Gdańsk. He has been a recipient of scholarships from the Ministry of Culture of Poland, the “Young Poland” program, the President of Zielona Góra, the Marshal of Lubuskie Voivodeship, the Jütting Foundation, the Paul Hindemith Society, and the Ad Infinitum Foundation.

He was a member of the famous Karajan Orchestra Academy at the Berlin Philharmonic. He collaborates with ensembles such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, WDR Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin, Staatskapelle Dresden, Staatsoper Hamburg, Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin, Oslo Philharmonic, Bergen Philharmonic, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Sinfonia Varsovia, SHMF Orchestra, Bachakademie Stuttgart, and Verbier Festival Orchestra.

He currently serves as the third horn player in the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra (hr-Sinfonieorchester) and is an assistant to Prof. Christian-Friedrich Dallmann in the horn class at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
