Tomasz Hajda

First trombone player of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice.

One of the leading Polish trombone players, winner of many awards at international solo and chamber music competitions, e.g. in Warsaw, Katowice, Dąbrowa Górnicza and Gdańsk. He performed as a soloist with many orchestras in Poland, made archival recordings with the NOSPR orchestra of K. Serocki’s Sonatina, K. Sikorski’s Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra and Wilhelm Frieman’s Concerto for Trombone.

He is an active chamber musician, performing simultaneously with the Sinfonia Varsovia Brass and the Polish Brass Quintet. Since 2008, he has been a lecturer of trombone and chamber music at the Academy of Music in Wrocław.
